Excellent food, excellent quick courteous service, gorgeous decor. I recommend. Little jewel in the heart of Whitehaven
We live 45 minutes away but will drive all the way here if we want a Chinese! the food is absolutely beautiful, good sized portions - enough to reheat for another meal the next day! Their beancurd meals are delicious - haven’t found many places around that have such good vegetarian options as oriental garden do. Staff have always been very pleasant & polite. Seating area to wait for orders. Would highly recommend!

The food is amazing, great portion sizes, piping hot and always delicious! Never had an issue ordering from here! The service was a little slower than normal on our last order but definitely nothing to worry about and the taste of the food makes up for it! The shop needs a bit of updating, but it's no longer a restaurant so nothing to worry about either. Overall would 10/10 recommend - staff are always lovely too

Ate here twice out of 3 nights of our break away. First night we weren't sure what to expect due to conflicting reviews. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal so much we had to go the next night and we could not fault it. Staff, food and ambience were really good, and the price too. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Ordered food for take out . Was ready in 20 mins . Food was piping hot , truly delicious gave atmosphere 5 stars but we were in and out in five mins . staff were great and service was spot on . We had the mixed starter for two . Special chow mein , special curry and the 1/4 duck . If you’re getting a Chinese meal in Whitehaven get it from oriental garden . 5 stars , A + . Shaun and Carol

I have tried many Chinese take aways and restaurants in the UK the US. This one is probably these best I have been too. I can only complain about getting through on the phone as they have just one line and you can't get through. But the food is worth the hassle. Its clean, and always well cooked and tasty. Nothing compares, Whitehaven is very lucky to have this place.
Lovely place. Very busy with deliveries and sit in was delicious. Attentive and polite staff, nothing was too much trouble and service quick. Surroundings were clean and modern. Unfortunately we were just visiting or it would immediately become our regular haunt! 10/10.
Got takeaway, all the food was lovely and there was plenty of it! Very reasonably priced, will definitely order again!

101Are you taking card over the phone
No. And at the moment not in person either. I was in last night and the was a sign up saying card machine broken. I imagine they just want to deal in cash?
